Former KWOD owner tries to block Entercom's buy of CBS stations in four markets

Former KWOD, 106.5, Sacramento owner Ed Stolz is still mad at Entercom, the company that went to court to force him to honor a contract to sell KWOD to the Pennsylvania based company.

Now, Stolz has filed a petition with the FCC to block Entercom's pending purchase of CBS stations in Dallas and Austin, Texas, Cincinatti, Ohio and Memphis, Tennesee.

According to a report in the Alllaccess.com digest Friday, 9/29/06, Stolz charges that Entercom "is in financial trouble" and he raises character issues stemming from New York State Attorney General Elliott Spitzer's payola probe. That probe involves Entercom, CBS and other broadcast companies.

Stolz is a lawyer and broadcast engineer.
