Former NYC Mayor and Former People's Court Judge Ed Koch dies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEwIGxrunFE

Koch's passing made me remember this 1984 clip from Tom Snyder's last newscast at WABC in NYC. While the whole clip is fascinating, it includes an abbreviated segment with Ed Koch. He and TS start to talk about a popular political topic of the day (between 3:15 and 4:02 of the video), Geraldine Ferraro (running as Walter Mondale's VP at the time), her husband John Zaccaro, and their tax returns.

Who could forget "How'm I doing?"
He certainly made his mark in a city with many colorful mayors... Walker, LaGuardia, Lindsay, Dinkins, Giuliani, Bloomberg.... and I remember his guest hosting of SNL.

I wish you had stated the full names of the mayors out of respect for them and for folks who do not know them.

I respected Ed Koch, but IMO - the best New York Mayor host of SNL was Rudy Giuliani. He was absolutely hysterical. Who would have thought that?
