Former Oldies 103/Boston DJ Little Walter DeVenne dead at 73

"Little Walter" is ill and could use some thoughts and prayers.

Besides his "on air" and event DJ work, Walter is a prolific producer, remastering golden oldies and "do wop" for re-release.

Get well Walter.
 
I used to listen to Little Walter on WBCN every Sunday night at their Sunday night prison show. He was a great disc jockey and is a treasure in Boston radio.
 
He co-owned "Big John & Little Walter's Oldies But Goodies Shop"....
683 Washington Street in Boston...
They used to advertise on WUNR 1600.....at one time, the home of "Jack Diamond -- King of the Oldies"!!

Sad to report that according to Jimmy Jay on the Remembering WMEX facebook, he has passed on.
"Nobody knew the oldies like Walter some may remember him from Oldies 103 or Skippy White's music store." Has been posted on the In Memoriam board
