Former Outlet Communications President, RI governor Bruce Sundlun dies

In a small state with many larger-than-life characters, Sundlun cut quite a figure through the worlds of business and politics. In both realms he was unafraid to take bold and decisive action. As in his professional life, his personal life was filled with triumph and tumult.

It said he was 91 at the time of his death. Kara Sundlun of WFSB-TV (Hartford) is his daughter. Just how old was he when she was born?

Which explains why she (and her husband Dennis House) mysterious disappeared from the airwaves last week.

Monday Dennis came back from vacation and said it was good to be back on the air.

And Tuesday Kara was doing Better Connecticut with Chaz from 99.1 WPLR.

I knew something was up when weather man Mark Dixon and 96.5's Damon Scott was doing the show on Wednesday. Plus Dennis being missing from the news.

Thursday It was Fill-in weather reporter Mellisa Cole and sports anchor Joe Zone doing the show.

And Friday it was Mark Dixon and Melissa Cole.
