Former TV Medical Reporter on Public Radio

Driving home from work the other day I heard an unfamiliar voice anchoring WXXI local news during All Things Considered. At first I thought that the station hired a new person until I learned from a business associate that former Channel 13 medical reporter, Jen Markham, who was recently among those fired by the new owners of WHAM TV, was filling in as local host of ATC. Who knows maybe XXI will keep Markham on part-time. From what someone told me that station seems to have a plethora of casual and part-time employees.

She's been doing Saturday mornings at WXXI radio for some time now, besides her gig at 13. She's probably filling in for vacationing staff at XXI. I also heard her doing weekday Morning Edition last week.

I thought some guy was doing weekend news on WXXI. What happened to him?
So they let Markham do Morning Edition as well huh? Interesting!

Brad Smith (ex-WHAM) is doing Sundays. And you should hear that guy who's doing ATC the rest of the week this week... ;)

By the way Scott I got an email from a friend of mine tonight complementing you on the job you do. This person wanted to know why you are not on the air full-time. I said because he's making too much money taking pictures of radio towers and appearing on television every time some big media personality gets fired. ;D
Oh and when you see Bob Smith, tell him since he's so fired up on getting a Spanish radio station on the air I will loan him my collection of Desi Arnaz records.
