Former WBRF "Nightride" Show to air on Country 93.1???

Ha-Ha!!! Very Funny!!!! Some posters attempt at humor is like watching a 85-year old stripper do a pole dance and then a lap dance! But, heck it is Christmastime! Eat, Drink and be merry!!! Let the Egg Nog flow all night (spiked, of course!). Somebody, seems to be getting a hard-on talking about the Warthogs!-LOL Must, be a SLOW year down at the pick-up bar.

I read recently that the Dash was going to change their name to the Warthogs. That name was more accepted in Winston-Salem.

Wiki just hasn`t been updated. They are the DASH and they are staying the Dash! Attendance at the new stadium was TOPS (#1) in their league. When they were the Warthogs, they had very low attendance at the ballpark. WBRF could possibly put the DASH on the radio. I don`t know. But I DO know that WBRF now carries many Wake Forest Games in football, basketball and baseball, for whatever that is worth.

That is because the schools pay to have their games run and the family-owned stations in the area need to revenue so they can continue their other programming and keep their employees.

Yea, i`m sure that if the Dash paid, they could get airtime on WBRF. I do know that the Dash is in alot better financial situation now than a year ago, because of the new stadium and the greatly increased crowds and revenue that it brought in. Their attendance this past year went from last in the league for 3 years, to first last year. Pretty damn good!

Don't figure too many people are going to listen to the "Dash" If they are that interested, they would go to the games!

All that without the games on radio?
I guess they have found a formula that works. Without radio...

I called WTQR and they said the Warthogs aren't going to be on there! They said it's probably a 980/1500 simulcast.
1500? They can't broadcast after dark, which is when the games are.

The former wTOP is there, 50,000 watts all the time.

Except they air federal government news. Most of the target audience is right there in D.C. or nearby. What a waste of a signal. A much less powerful station could do that easily.

 When does Howard Stern start doing mornings on JOY-FM..Someone else said Imus was going to do afternoon drive???
