Former WCSH arts/fashion reporter Fritzi Cohen RIP

Just a few months after the death of Dave Astor comes word of another reminder of a long-gone era in local TV. The notion of a on-air theater critic, never mind one in a market the size of Portland, Maine, would be unthinkable today, but Fritzi was a mainstay of Channel 6 from 1960 to 1983. Apart from her long run on Portland TV, she also had bit parts in films like "Jaws" and TV series like "Route 66" and kept active in local theater long after she retired from WCSH. The old cliche "we'll never see the likes of her again" surely applies here.
