Former WHOL, Allentown, Morning Man Danny Stiles Passes Away

Danny Stiles who did mornings on WHOL-1600 in Allentown when it was a CBS affiliate in the late 1940s or 1950s, passed away earlier this month.

Until a recent illness, Stiles still had regular programs on several stations in the New York City market. His radio career, including his time in the Lehigh Valley, spanned 63-years. He was 87.

A tribute to Stiles will be heard on WPAT in the New York Market this evening (Friday, March 18th) from 7:00-10:00 streams at www.wpat930am.com

Danny's "Music Museum" will continue on WNYC from 8:00-10:00PM on Saturdays. They gave call-in number for listeners to record their memories which will be included in the "encore" programs. They stream at www.wnyc.org
