Fort Myers/Gator Country DJ's in Trouble for April Fools Prank

Sounds to me like a stepping stone for them to satellite radio.....pranks like that get DJs "rewarded" for things like that, which is why I don't subscribe.

cd

If you play on the 'April Fools' day.. Make it so easy to know what is what.. Like, we used fake names of famous or made up people... Mostly dead ones... Then immediate to say, April's Fool, before the break ended.. Lame, but safe...

Anyone remember when "Scott," as "Joe Mama" at then-Star 95.5 in West Palm Beach, got himself in some trouble over his supposed dropping a turkey from an airplane?

Barnyard animals from the farm next to the tower take over the radio station. Plays classic country music all day which was the old format before we bought it. DJ escapes by climbing out the mens room window. Owner negotiates throughout the day with the rooster who is the leader of the gang. Crisis is resolved when feeding time came and all the animals returned to the barn.

Nobody took any of this seriously enough to call out the swat team or SPCA to swarm the station! And we had a lot of fun with it on Facebook too. *disclaimer: no animals or DJs were harmed during this prank :D

CD, as with many chemicals, dihydrogen monoxide can be consumed in excess and people have been known to suffer greatly from its abuse, but administered responsibly (and that is the key word), it has been known to have numerous beneficial effects, such as an immediate cure for dehydration.
