Days after an honor roll student pistol whipped her mother and forced her to buy her a new car, the high school that she attends was the target of a prank phone call aired by 105.5 The Beat. Apparently, it has the Canterbury School on edge enough to increase security.

Fort Myers High School IS a high school in the city of Fort Myers. Canterbury School, located in the unincorporated area of south Fort Myers, is the school referenced in the story.

Actually, you should take up your complaint with the source of the story, since the headline is:

Parody has Fort Myers school upping security

Meaning the school is in the vicinity of the Fort Myers area. Had I put "Canterbury" in the thread title, a mod might be inclined to move it to the Maine board.

And remember, the area is not just made up of Fort Myers, but Cape Coral, Port Charlotte, Naples, et al. Read the thread about Channel 10...

A 12-24 station that is perfect for the wanna be gangstas of Sw Florida. She probably used to live in good ole Cape Coral, but couldn't afford the cover charge (bridge toll) to get back in to that sorry excuse of a city.
 
Good thing she doesn't live in Jersey, eh - the bridge toll capital of the world, according to the late George Carlin... ::)
