FOUND! Nearly complete WTAE Fleming/Cope broadcast of Steelers vs. Raiders Immaculate Reception Game + fragments of '59, '66, '68 games!

I had nothing to do with it. Bob Purse of WFMU found and digitized the tape. And what a historic tape this is!

This is a nearly complete recording of Cope and Fleming's broadcast of the AFC Divisional Playoff game.

There's also a tape of about 10 minutes of Fleming's broadcast of the 1968 season opener vs the NY Giants, a few choppy fragments of Fleming's 11-13-1966 broadcast of Steelers vs. Cardinals, and about a minute or so of postgame coverage of the 1959 season opener vs the Browns.
Simply incredible to hear!

Only related because of Myron Cope, but the draft tonight played a clip of him and you could clearly hear his voice. Was never a Steeler fan even though I grew up in Western Pennsylvania, but the greatness of the man was clear.

The most awesome thing was in 1996 when he gifted the trademark rights to the Allegheny Valley School. Has gotten them north of $8 million over the years.

Listened to Myron Cope when I was board-op'ing WCPA 900-AM from 1993-1995. I found comedy of his expressions, most notably "hmm- haaa!" and "the Cincinnati Bungles." Would like to get a copy of one of his '90s broadcasts just for posterity.
