If you visit the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunk, ME, you'll see some old
T buses and Boston-area trains, complete with ads for WRKO (Talks A Great
Game): Jerry Williams/David Brudnoy. Also I believe ads for the original
WXNE-TV 25 (King Kong, McHale's Navy, Gomer Pyle)

For a moment, I thought somebody had taken a picture of a current MBTA bus with a 25-year-old "F-105" sign on it.

THAT would have been something!

Nope not me, but if that picture is as old as I think it is that guy has retired ( we go out in 23 years) I am going to see if that TT is still in service though.

TT's are the only thing I don't have a certification in at the T.

BTW Bike season is almost over Paul when are us marshvegas people going riding?

Anyone remember when WVBF stood for " Very Brief Format" as they changed weekly it seemed.

Motorcycle run?????

Neggy, maybe we should get together a radio person bike run, get a cause ,and make radio people some press.Anyone like that idea? Please post if you like toride.

That station kept me rockin' during my undergrad days and grad school days in B-Town. I've always liked them.

From the "weird facts" file, the VBF supposedly stood for the "Voice of Boston-Framingham." It actually stood for Virginia B. Fairbanks, wife of Fairbanks Broadcasting owner Richard M. Fairbanks, for whom WRMF in West Palm Beach, FL was named.

Mr. and Mrs. Fairbanks were two of the nicest people ever to be broadcasters/owners. His Grandfather was the Vice-President of the United States under Teddy Roosevelt and the man for whom Fairbanks, Alaska was named.

(This is why my friends won't let me play "Trivial Pursuit" with them anymore.)
