Fox and Hearst Television Stations to Air the Jennifer Hudson show in the Fall

Fox Television Stations will launch The Jennifer Hudson Show for fall 2022. Joining Fox Television Stations for the one-hour daytime talk show launch is Hearst Television, along with additional station groups representing more than 60% of the country.

“I have experienced so much in my life; I’ve seen the highest of the highs, the lowest of the lows, and just about everything in between but as my mother always told me, ‘Once you think you’ve seen it all, just keep on living,’” Hudson said. “People from around the world have been a part of my journey from the beginning — 20 years ago — and I’m so ready to join their journey as we sit down and talk about the things that inspire and move us all. I have always loved people and I cannot wait to connect on a deeper level and let audiences see the different sides of who I am, the human being, in return. And I couldn’t be more thrilled to do it alongside this incredible team. We’re about to have a lot of fun and shake things up a little bit!”

WB has announced that the Jennifer Hudson Show will air in the Fall and so far Hearst and Fox owned stations have deals to air the show in the fall. This is the second Former American Idol Talent to have a talk show after Kelly Clarkson.

If Hearst Television airs it here they will have the Jennifer Hudson Show and the Kelly Clarkson Show on the same network as Kelly Clarkson is on Hearst owned channel KCCI

Yakima TV runs at a glacial pace. 4:00 news? Heh. What's that? I expect KNDO to replace Ellen with Jennifer Hudson (or NBC gives CBS affiliate KIMA an offer they can't refuse, moving Kelly Clarkson to an NBC affiliate).

I think that Jennifer Hudson will go to Nexstar: WOODTV which could take over Ellen's timeslot at 4PM if they don't add news at 4PM, WOTV, TEGNA: WZZM, Scripps: WXMI GR FOX17. Those are the TV stations in West Michigan as Sinclair WWMT isn't going to take it.

In Bay Area KTVU Fox 2 and KICU aka KTVU+ will air Jennifer Hudson's show because its a Fox O&O. In Sacramento KCRA and KQCA will air the Jennifer Hudson show because its part of the Hearst contract. For areas that do not have a Hearst owned station or a Fox O&O that is uncertain for now where this show is going.

I also noticed that in Orlando, WESH 2 will air Jennifer Hudson and not either WOFL Fox 35 or WRBW 65 aka Fox 35 Plus as originally published, and in Milwaukee, WISN 12 will air it and not WITI Fox 6 as originally published.

This is one of the rare places where a Hearst owned station competes against Fox O&O's. Milwaukee and Orlando. It will be interesting to see what Fox 35 and Fox 6 will get in place of Jennifer Hudson show.

Some of Jennifer Hudson's talk show staff are former staff members on the Ellen show.

Hudson’s show hails from Warner Bros., the same studio that was behind “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which just closed its curtain after 19 years on the air. Many of DeGeneres’ top producers are moving over to Hudson’s show. Her show will also be taped from the same studio where “Ellen” was shot on the Warner. Bros. lot.

Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner and Corey Palent — all executive producers from “Ellen” who had been with the show since its start in 2003 — will serve as showrunners on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

Ahead of the launch, both Connelly and Lassner have inked overall deals with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television to develop, create and produce other unscripted series for the studio.

Hudson will also serve as an executive producer on her show. Along with Connelly, Lassner and Palent, other executive producers are Lisa Kasteler Calio, Graehme Morphy and Walter Williams III, plus co-executive producer Shani Black.

I wonder if Hudson will let 'average Andy' do his haunted house segments. That was probably one of my favorite segments on Ellen. He worked so professionally on set and acted like a 50-year-old scaredy-cat in an L.A. haunted house...
