Fox cancels "King of the Hill" (last shows to air in 2009-10 season)

"The Simpsons" needs to be retired as well. One thing about "King Of The Hill" was the writing far was better than the dreck "The Simpsons" have been churning out in the past 8 years.

I noticed this was mentioned in the latest post in the "Current TV Shows that Should Have been Cancelled" thread, but Fox News has an item on the cancellation of "King of the Hill" (with the last shows airing sometime in the 2009-10 season):

Despite the mention of KOTH's "flat" ratings this season, I admit I didn't see this one coming.

I remember hearing grumblings about the show being ended last year because of heat between Mike Judge and Fox over it's often pre-empted timeslot. But after 13 seasons, the show was bound to end sometime.

I never was a huge fan of "King of the Hill"...just never thought it was that funny. As for "The Simpsons," the episodes are really hit and miss any more...mostly miss.

FOX probably only wanted 2 hours of animation, and now with the new spin off "Cleveland" from "Family Guy," they needed to make room.
