FOX News and You Tube Claims Diane Sawyer was Drunk during election coverage

Go to You Tube and decide for yourself whether Ms. Sawyer had too many "pops" before the telecast or was just tired.

Personally I never liked her as an anchor. It seems after each story Sawyer always adds her personal comments.

This is why I started watching the CBS Evening News.

Dianne Sawyer Newscasts attract the Cable News crowd thats why ABC acts the way they do today.

How many of you folks worked Election Day coverage?

For those who have, including yours truly, it is a L O N G day which can start early Tuesday morning and can last into the wee hours of the next day.

Now I've seen the video and came away with the impression that Diane Sawyer could have been overtired or even feeling the affects of having a drink or two before airtime. However I must note that during her regular 6:30 newscast, she appeared to be normal.

Actually, there was another clip of Sawyer a couple of years ago, in which she really did seem a bit drunk - she was all giggly and slurring her words. This one I'm not sure about.

I watched a little of ABC's coverage and thought Sawyer was acting goofy as well. Perhaps tiredness combined with age was a factor. Wondered if she was having a Clint Eastwood moment, but I didn't see an empty chair anywhere...

I'm concerned that this was one 2 minute break compared to the hours she must have put in. To that, I give her the benefit of the doubt.

ABC's strategy with this is to ignore, hoping everyone will forget about it. Probably not a bad plan. There was no mention on the Wednesday ABC World News Tonight. I think this will end up being a non-story, unless something else happens with her. The late Jessica Savitch comes to mind, but I don't think she has come anywhere approaching Jessica's mess.

This is really not someone who enriches or contributes to society, and frankly, is not very near the top of the food chain in my world.
