Fox O&O's to replace syndicated shows at late night for Late Night news

The local Fox O&O just dumped its last hour of the morning program ("AZAM") for "Page Six". I don't know what the rational was for this change but Page Six is a huge waste of time.

The same station also dumped another program in late afternoon (no idea what it was) for yet another hour of local news. They now have five hours of news headlines beginning at 4:30 AM, another half hour at noon, more news at 4, 5, 6, and 9. What a waste of electricity!

I suspect they have a contract to clear 'Page Six' and this was the least costly slot to park it in.

The last hour of the morning program was generally relegated to fluff stories of the TMZ variety so no big loss but I wonder how it might affect the morning show talent insofar as money and job satisfaction go.

"Page Six" would seem to appeal to the younger crowd and airing it at 9AM would mean they will all be off to the school bus by the time it is on.

Simple solution: watch something else.

If it works for their business, it’s no waste.

The morning show has been my breakfast buddy since I retired and because it is one hour shorter now I need to get my lazy butt out of bed earlier so I can catch the "important" stuff. I don't watch anything else on Fox except the very occasional motor sports race but thought it was somewhat unusual for them to put on a syndicated show in place of a local one as that hour could not have cost them very much to produce.

I don't know where your getting that because FOX 10 Arizona Morning is still 4:30-10:00 a.m.

Yesterday they broke for the 9AM news and Page Six came on. I was not watching this morning.

Maybe someone in the control room hit the wrong button while chasing the WC around?

Well whatever the case may be, it probably was a technical error. AZAM will still be 4:30-10:00 a.m. as Page Six is usually on FOX 10 Xtra at 9:00 a.m.
