Chris Wallace appearing on a local Boston talk show on Friday attacked his father, Mike Wallace, and said his father was ready to be "committed". "He lost it", "he has lost his faculties", "he has lost his mind" Chris Walllace said. This is in regard to an interview Mike Wallace gave to The Boston Globe.

There seems to be a long standing animosity that Chris Wallace has for his father. He son seems to be jealous of his father's long years of success and his own mediocre career.

Even the local talk show host who is a conservative and no friend of Mike Wallace [ who by the way almost became Richard Nixon's first Press Secretary in 1968] tried to get Chris Wallace to retract his personal attack on his father, but Chris Wallace just laughed and continued his attack on his father.

Sad that Chris Wallace has to go on a local or any broadcast and make fun of his father. Speaks more about Chris Wallace than Mike Wallace.

Exactly. The younger Wallace is compensating his ego for his own lacking abilities by lashing out at his talented and capable father. If Chris Wallace can't pull himself out of his father's shadow he needs to look within for the reason.

autobio? Am reminded of a book by Chris Elliot I heard about,
in which alternating 'rebuttals' of each chapter appear, written
by his famed dad Bob of Bob and Ray fame.

Does anyone remember the first night of the war? ABC was caught off guard and brought in Chris Wallace before Peter Jennings got there. Simply horrible. He can't handle anchoring without a teleprompter.
