Free Beer and Hot Wings now on Rutland's 101 The Fox

Looks like the Fox has joined it's other Nassau stablemates by adding the syndicated Free Beer and Hot Wings. While FB & HW, to me, is pretty good, the show does not stand out as well as the I-Dude did, and certainly does not covet the Imus demographic and intelligent type of listener that Imus had. The show fits better with the music, and defines the station's appeal to younger listeners.
 
Must be the slowest show I've heard in a while...almost fell back asleep while listening. Perhaps I didn't give a long enough chance, but the half hour I listened there wasn't one "yuck". I don't think this will help the Fox much.

Maybe I just miss the I-man...
 
I have been listening to the show for a while now in NH. It takes a while to grow on you, but they are pretty good at what they do. Several regular benchmarks around the hour are pretty funny once you"ve caught on to their humor. This show is now on several Nassau stations, and my guess is that they would not air the show if they did not have success with it.

It's definitely not I-man, but on a classic rock format, Who REALLY Cares?
 
Success on other Nassau stations doesn't translate into success in Southern VT...but only time will tell...to be fair, I should give it a better listen before getting critical. Every morning show has its slow moments.

That show certainly hasn't done anything for WQBK in Albany. That station is completely tanking....
