Free Streaming Channel may be the future of TV Broadcast News

NewsOn has been iffy at best as a local news aggregator. Too many technical issues as well as commercials inserted at random, sometimes 5 or 6 at a time. That is extremely annoying. Plus, they have been losing channels to company-owned apps over the last couple of years. But not every station has its own Roku/Apple TV app, corporate or otherwise.

The thing is though is NewsOn now has a little something called COMPETITION from a variety of places from Tubi (Who started out with just the Fox O&O's) to the CBS News app to local stations simply going it alone, leaving NewsOn with nothing more than the Sinclair owned stations (Even though it has Stirr'd) as everyone has either left alotgether (ABC O&O's, Gray/Raycom/Meredith, Media General IN the EARLY days, they were on there before Nexstar bought MG) & Nexstar itself (Who offered up KLAS 8 in Las Vegas as a "Test" station before pulling it)) or moved on to other places as well as NewsOn (Most notably Cox, TEGNA & Hearst)

Livestream suffered a similar fate when NewsOn first came into being

But NewsOn's BIGGEST knock HAS ALWAYS been whenever Breaking News happens, NewsOn would stick with it for awhile BUT NewsOn would OFTEN CUT OFF the coverage while th local station is still going (This is THE BIGGEST reason why I have the local station apps on my Roku TV & will either use Stirr'd for the Sinclair owned stations or will just not watch them)
