Fresno Grizzlies start year with new radio partner. KRDU

They had an amazing Sports history. Jim did some pretty decent play by play and Will Goldbeck had more stats in his head than anyone.

KRDU under the original ownership was a unique station, so very committed to Dinuba and Reedley, Selma and Kingsburg (Fresno was not a priority, nor was Visalia), which were KLTA/KOJI's sales target, especially when Scott Mosely came over from KKNU and Bonnevillie took over from the locally produced beautiful music programming. But, at KRDU, sports was something that Dave didn't really appreciate, but Reedley College or Kings River, whatever it was called at the time, was pretty important in addition to the high schools. And, if you'd ever heard Will's Saturday sports, if there was a game anywhere within their listening range, he covered it. Community-based radio at its best.

Jim Bailey, totally involved in Reedley High sports teams, in addition, I assume, to a regular job outside of radio or high school sports. Or maybe he was selling KRDU? Anyway, I remember him doing excellent over air play-by-play announcing.

Jim did sales. A good person to work with and to have as a friend.
 
earlier this spring didn't the 99.7 translator claim to be the radio voice of the Grizzlies? (it shall remain unnamed for the purpose of this inquiry- )
