from a Boston poster: coverage of Denver 100Ks past 470 West to Breckenridge

Hi! I'm from Boston and, as posted on the Colorado board, plan to head to Colorado for my cousin's wedding at the end of July. I was wondering:

a) what the coverage was of the Denver stations west of 470 towards Eisenhower

b) what stations (Denver and otherwise) can be heard in the Breckenridge area?

Please post sometime soon - thanks!

Once you get past Evergreen, all of the Denver FMs become spotty. Most people other than radio enthusiasts would consider the signals unusable. You might find a few pockets where some stations come in better than others, but none of the signals will be good.

The only signals you will get around Breckenridge will be from the locals there and from translators, of which there are a number. Looking at the list quickly, the only Denver area commercial signal I see on a translator there is KBCO. You may find one or two non-comms from Denver, but that's about it. Several of the Vail area stations are on translators in Breck.
