FROM THE WA STATE BOARD: " Jodesha Boradcasting Sells Out It's News Product"

Re: FROM THE WA STATE BOARD: " Jodesha Boradcasting Sells Out It's News Product"

looks like SRP went fishin for a comment a few days ago, and no bites at lake Radio-info.com

okay i'll bite.

scott says: this is just like mcdonalds when they caught heat for having out sourced their drive up window speaker people, to a large staff in another state. scott remembers when KIRO AM shafted the "in house" weather staff many years ago, in favor of the national "acu-weather" service. this is just like when a local talk show host is replaced by a syndicated one.

no one knows if this is a true story. as we know, anyone can post anything here. even if its 100% BS. look at the past bob rivers contract talk thread.

what we do know is at least bill wolfenbarger posts under his real name, and is accountable. unlike the nameless out of state hierarchy of "yes men" at the corporate broadcast behemoths who remain anonymous by design, along with most of the posters at radio-info, who use CB handles, to hide behind.

Re: FROM THE WA STATE BOARD: " Jodesha Boradcasting Sells Out It's News Product"

Looks like you've been haulin' too many truckloads of manure, good buddy - it's spilling over onto this board.

Wasn't posting this fishing for a comment - it was on the WA state board but since Aberdeen's close to Seattle (you probably didn't know that unless your GPS told you) it seemed fitting to post.

And as for "handles" - SRP is short for Steven R. Patterson. There. Now I'm not behind a "handle". That's a big-ten-four.

Re: FROM THE WA STATE BOARD: " Jodesha Boradcasting Sells Out It's News Product"

So, Bill - things that tough in Aberdeen these days?

Come on, get real. Things have been tough in Aberdeen since before the town was wired for electricity. And you have to be tough to make it in any business other than a meth lab out there on the coast. And that means tough decisions.

I hate it when even the marginal jobs dry up in radio. But when there's no retail money left in the market, you've got to decide which muscle to cut into or else just shut the doors and put EVERYBODY on the street.

Judging by the lack of action on this thread, I have to assume that most of us here have accepted the fact that this kind of move is just another unhappy fact of life.

Re: FROM THE WA STATE BOARD: " Jodesha Boradcasting Sells Out It's News Product"

SRP er steven, glad you posted that one, as i dont often read the WA board.

scott dont have GPS. scott still does his best to live in the 70's, where that modern driving distraction dont exist.

glad the lone ranger, SRP unmasked himself. hopefully, the ex wives, and creditors wont get wind of it

Re: FROM THE WA STATE BOARD: " Jodesha Boradcasting Sells Out It's News Product"

from the thread title I was hoping this had something to do with Sacha Baron Cohen reading news in Aberdeen...

That's the guy. He doesn't need to be in town or even on the same continent. It should pep up the local news a bit with Borad the Boradcaster.
