What do ya'll think about Larry Jones doing morinngs at Houstons new gospel station. I hear in Sept. he will start along with gospel artist Yolanda Adams after his 1 month non-compete clause is over with the wave 95.7. Is it a good move? I think so.. I am curious as to what others think.

Excellent move. His personality should shine just as bright as the music. The times I hear him on The Wave it appears he is just reading liner cards. He deserves better, and this is the chance.

Hearing lots of positive reaction for Praise 92.1. This format should be around for a while.

I totally agree. I think he has never really recieved the credit he deserves for being an excellent jock and for the amount of years he has been in the business. I hope this is the time he finally gets his due.

I think they will begin testing Yolanda Adams radio skills this Monday. I have been hearing them run promos as I switch on the station to hear what they are doing..

Larry and I have known each other for a few years. While he was doing mornings on Majic 102, I worked on Smooth FM 98.5/103.3 and would visit with him occasionally. I was glad to have been able to work with him on The Wave. He's a professional and above all, he's a good man.

Now, he's only 10 floors away as he moves to the 9th floor. Larry, its back to the 1st bank of elevators, tell your feet what to do. LOL. Much love, brother. I know you'll do well.

Yolanda, what can I say? I love her music. When KKHT was on 106.9, I was able to play anything I wanted on my Sunday afternoon shift. I made sure at least 2 of Yolanda's music would be played in that 6 hour period every Sunday.
