Not sure where the evidence is for "business tuning out". If anything, there are more TV setups in more places than ever. Nearly every remodeled fast food location now gets a flat screen or two. This is why you only had three channels at the gym, despite all the TVs. Sometimes the same station was on three TVs right in a row.
I imagine it works the same with other places.
