FYI - XM 60's on 6 Saluting WKBW 4pm - 9pm Nov 30.

Thought I'd bring this to the attention of those on the board. XM channel 6, 60's on 6 is saluting WKBW from 4 pm until 9 pm tonight 11/30/07. I tuned in late but so far have heard Sandy Beach. Terry "Motormouth" Young is host.

Terry did the same thing last April. I signed up for a temporary Internet subscription to XM and recorded a couple of hours of the show that I dumped into my iPod. At first, I thought I was listening to clips of Jack Armstrong when I figured out it was Terry. Obviously, we know whom his inspiration is. It was a fun five hours, especially after the numbskulls at Entercom dumped KB's music format for the liberal talk one no one is listening to. It's ironic that it's satellite radio that allows KB to live, and not the real thing. Sorry I missed this latest incarnation.

You're right. Terry has mentioned a couple of times on the air that Armstrong was his mentor. Also if memory serves me correctly, Young has had Jack Armstrong on as a guest.

Listened for quite a while Friday night. It was wonderful. XM-6 is the best Oldies station I've ever heard (present company ignored). If Steve Mitchell's tuned in here, did Terry borrow your "collection" ??
