I was listening to Radio 104 from Waterbury, CT a few moments ago and I heard the song "November Rain" by Guns N Roses which is odd because I don't consider that band Alternative Rock

November Rain has had nine plays this week on WMRQ and has been played at least twice per week nearly every week the past three months.
Just wait til November comes around @cartman2002
Maybe it's "alternative" in an ironic sort of way?
Radio104 is listed as "Alternative Rock", 102.9TheWhale as "Classic Rock" & TheRiver105.9 as "Classic Hits"
I’m too old to think of WDRC as classic rock. WHCN hasn’t been a rock station in over 25 years.

Agreed - & I know 'HCN was a Rocker 25 yrs. ago, but they still program some rock songs. Do they play "November Rain"?
