Galaxy Radio To Expand To Scotland And possibly London

http://mediareporter.wordpress.com/2008/08/27/xfm-scotland-rebranded-as-galaxy/
http://www.radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.3742

Big buzz around the UK as Galaxy Radio is slated to take over the X-Fm frequencies (formerly Beat 106/105.7) in Central Scotland. This means Glasgow and Edinburgh will have a Dance station again, and will join Galaxy's network of stations heard in cities like Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, and Leeds.

Whats more is there's a good chance Galaxy will also take over the Choice FM frequencies, giving London a second Dance station.

Dance radio performs well in much of the UK, and continues to expand frantically throughout much of Europe.

Thats good news,, I always liked Beat 106 in Scotland, i was mad when they changed it to XFM,, XFM didnt play hardly any Dance, while Beat 106 had both a Rock Lean, as well as a dance lean. I like the Galaxy stations, but I admit that I liked Beat 106, and the old Vibe 101 and 105..

Bumping this one back to the top as the changes have been implemented within the past couple of months. Glasgow and Edinburgh in central Scotland, and the Southampton-Bournemouth-Portsmouth region in the southeast of England are now part of Galaxy.

Overall, Galaxy is sounding more like Z-103.5 Toronto these days.
