Gary In The Morning Internet show live today 1/07/08

hey jeff.. is this gonna earn you the title "gary's no 1 fan" lol interesting setup... website lacks a bit in excitement but you can see he's definitely got the advertiser backing on it. now you can see why the author of the article still works for the pocono record... he describes podcasting and digital music so many times u'd think it was his first time learning about it. lol well i wish gary well and hopefully a few more locals might do the same and really crush the stations in this market. the idea is so simple yet so genius.

Hey reptimania!

It's funny, but I wasn't a regular Gary listener. By morning drive I'm already working, so I don't get to hear any morning radio to speak of. When I did hear Gary I thought he was great...much better than is typical of this size market.

He got the shaft from Nassau, as so many have. It's just nice to see somebody put it back to them in terms they can understand: Dollars.

I hear his site was off the chart with traffic yesterday, which is a good start. Hope he continues to do well.

I only listened to Gary once in a blue moon, when I was passing thru up that way on my way to upstate NY.... I'm a Stern fan myself, and Gary, while competent, never was my cup of tea... That being said, I've listened to his internet show fairly regularly, enjoyed hearing from Ken Matthews the one day 2 weeks back, But todays show was brilliant! He finally took a shot at Nassau w/ a song parody of Friends in Low places (Called I've got friends in ho places) and he had a local singer/guitar player do it live on his show, absolutely hysterical! Seems hes getting into a groove, and I'd like to see this trend w/ other DJs doing an internet show. Seems to be a lot of possibilities for this format. Will it catch on, IMHO I say yes, and as wi-fi becomes more widely available, I see internet radio making its way into the automobile. When that happens, look out, terrestrial radio is really going to have a hard time beating back that challenge.
Anyways, Kudos to Gary, hes made me a regular fan, Ken Matthews(I know you contribute to this board) Will you be the next Jock that goes to cyberspace... I'll be listening if ya do!

btw... If ya wanna check it out, goto www.garyinthemorning.com and then click on the mic to listen, the show will be rebroadcast all day long

the way its going.. looks like it will allready be too expensive for me to advertise my site on his webpage... lol kudos to gary.. and i think he and ken should team up and do it for 2 hrs in the morning.. everytime i've listened they could have talked alot longer than they do and listeners would have stayed plugged into it. heck.. ken coulda talked for an hour himself lol. anywho.. i hope your right because the medium seems to be a far more efficient way to broadcast.. look at what sirius does with all the 80's mtv jocks who broadcast outta their own homes.... anywho.. go gary... and get on board ken
