GEENA & FRANKIE V ON CHANNEL 933: MON. 11/8/10

Kinda boring actually. I really like both Frankie and Geena but the few times I've actually heard talking (and not just music and teases for upcoming giveaways) it's a little lackluster. I thing there either needs to be a 3rd body joining the show, a producer giving lots of talking points and subject matter, and/or a lot more callers being taken.
Maybe they need a dose of talent: two people can do a great show if they have it...

If they don't, a third body ain't gonna do it, and if the third person does have enough talent to make up for the other two, then you don't need those two.

They might be out of their element. Frankie's always done night's (except fill ins after AJ moved to Star and before John Jay and Rich started) and Geena's always been AJ's side-kick. I don't know, maybe they just need time to adjust. Perhaps we'll be shown.

In the old days San Diego was considered a major market and you had to have experience to get your own morning show: now the criteria is being willing to work for little or nothing and you get a lot of not-ready-for primetime shows, mostly ones with a man and woman recapping celebrity gossip news and making uninformed comments about events. I wish them well, but it is a shame now San Diego morning shows now need training wheels.

It might also be that CC San Diego didn't have a whole lot to choose from after dumping talent left and right. The out of town experiment didn't work so I guess they decided to take a look around, see who was left and pair a couple of them up to try and get something better on the air. I'm just glad they have a live and local show on again as I think it was a darn shame to have such a highly rated station using a voice tracked morning show.

With the way CC has structured their operations, and with the rumor of more deep cuts in the next week or so, maybe they will simulcast AJ on Star and Channel 933. What a money saver!

nocoradio, CC has structure? I'm shocked!

Wait... Is it time to drag out the "Christmas at Clear-Channel" promo again? ;D

Clear Channel is cutting more? Like personnel?

I think it's cake, actually.
