Georgia Radio Hall Of Fame Event Last Evening

Man what a gas to see all those great Georgia radio people in one room. And what a great cross section of Georgia inductees: Augusta's George Fisher; Jimmy Deer who worked in Savannah and Columbus (now deceased); Bill Bowick from Columbus; Red Jones from Tallapoosa, Bill Powell (deceased) and Dale Ward from Macon, and the big founders award for Jack Lenz from Brunswick. Seeing the Braves Pete Van Wieren and Ernie Johnson along with Skip Caray's son Josh, telling great "Skip" stories. Aubrey Morris, Ludlow Porch, and it goes on and on. What a night!

It was a great evening. Ernie Johnson, Sr. gets my vote for the line of the night.
"Getting old sucks. " LOL

Brian Wilson couldn't make it because of an unexpected illness in the family. He would have loved it.

My question is this. Do you think Rhubarb Jones was upset about being fired?

I didn't know that Bill Powell worked at CEH, too! Anyone have any photos of the event, for those of us unable to attend?
