I'm not a regular listener of The Bert Show but I will say that my fiancee and a good number of her friends (age 22-28) are. I wouldn't necessarily call Bert a second banana. It seems as though he worked his way up through a variety of jobs and markets until he was ready for a top 10 slot. Isn't that the way it's supposed to work?
Alot of comments on a show no one has even heard yet.
By the way let me be the first to say the new show sucks.
This guy doesn't belong here.
He's ripping off the Regular Guys/Stern/O & A/the old Morning X.
He doesn't know how to segue between segments.
He mispronounced Dacula, Dekalb and Gwinnett.
Send this carpet-bagger out of town he won't last six months.
Bring back the Regular Guys.

Being Realistic here,
Obviously a lot of you on this board are pissed about this decision for a show. What would you all pick? Think the demo. of the station, think the shows that are available. There are so many up in arms about a show they haven't heard, what would be the ultimate REALISTIC grab for project 9-6-1? Sure, boob jokes, phenomenal, Extreme, we get it, but that's also the mind set of the demo. I honestly don't think that there is anyone that could step up that wouldn't be labeled as a copy of a show that's already out there by this board. You take from what you've been around and influences you and hopefully turn that into something unique. Also, in the end, who cares? The majority of the people that will hear this show won't even know that it's similar to a show somewhere else. Maybe the moral of the story is that we all want to PD stations that have our ultimate line-up that will make us 100% content, won't happen, but it's what we want.

If you heard "perrynoid" on Ron & Fez talking about coming to ATL - he made a complete fool of himself. Calling the station Project 1-9-6 three times until a caller told R&F the proper name. If I were Giant Brian or PD Chris Williams, I'd be pissed - perrynoid did nothing to make this show seem viable for Atlanta morning radio.
