Globe: Jim and Margery last show Wednesday - is RKO their next stop?

Don't know if RKO signs them for AM drive, maybe keep Kuhner for awhile but maybe could do that 11 am hr etc...who knows, maybe in future--who else; no room at WBZ (ha, you guys want overnights?) ...as for 89.7 I guess ex WTKK exec Phil Redo is there.. hmm!
 
Weren't they first paired at WRKO filling for Ted and Tony and Mike and Janet?

It would give them a credible morning show, which they haven't had in years -- the guy who is there now is simply an atrocious broadcaster, almost as bad as the brokered time hours.
 
I would like nothing more than to see the minor league Savage, Crazy Kuhner get sent packing back to DC. J&M in the morning and Graham mid days would be fine with me but you have that pesky Barry Armstrong and his big checks in the way. I doubt RKO would put two progressives on in AM drive. That would really blow out their core audience.

My biggest concern is missing John Batchelor. I can listen to him online at home but I will really miss him when I am in my car.

Assuming things haven't changed in the last few weeks, John Batchelor is being carried (not sure the exact hours)...on Providence's 630-WPRO.

Thanks I don't think I get PRO very well on the North Shore but I will give it a try

...then it's gotta be a duck! That atrocious "broadcaster" is hosting a brokered show! He must be paying them a fortune...or have pictures of someone important!! :). That great time slot from 9-11AM is being filled by a brokered show vs a quality morning show...FIVE days a week!! Perfect slot for Jim and Margery though...that is, if WRKO really wants to survive and become great once again.

Subscribe to the podcast (Itunes,,,The New John Batchelor Show) instead. Under the new regime, they seem to post the audio as soon as the individual hours are complete. Also, I think you can live stream PRO off the JBS website.

i would rather see Jim and Margery do 9-12,i'm not in there demo but if there that popular and they want to continue the show then wrko should go for it. thats my take ;)
 
Heard 15 min of Jim and Marge on 89.7. At one point she called Dem. strategist Michael
Goldman "Michael Graham". Goldman used to be a fixture on RKO, even did a wknd show.
