I agree with that probably more than anyone else here, but I don't exactly see how a member-supported Southern Gospel station is anything but a niche. This economy isn't the best time to be starting up something new that needs donations to stay on the air.

I agree. It was very well done. Sometimes niches can be a boon to a struggling station.

Absolutely a Southern Gospel station is a huge niche station. But there are so many of them popping up everywhere that the market is becoming over saturated. The easy listening format was a better fit for the area since there wasn't anything else around like it and made them (IMHO) stand out amongst a sea of copycats.
