It looks like the reviews for the new WGHP-TV 8.2 seem to be very postive. Everyone that I talk to, reviews online and reviews on the WGHP-TV 8 website seem postive. I think that it is a GREAT addition to the Piedmont Triad! People seem to like the old 1970`s "snowball eight" logo that is being used. It is the same one used in the late 1970`s to Mid 1980`s. I had earlier been told that they were going to use the ei8ht "eightball" logo. But, maybe later on. By the way, the snowball and eightball 8 jargon is used by folks who work at WGHP. Just ask Charles who is the Tech. wiz there... He uses the same terms. Great to see TV 8.2 doing so well.....

Is there a digital television subchannel blog I'm missing out on? ::)
You've got to have one of the HD Blog coverters to get the sub-blogs, unless you're on Roadrunner. TWC promised they'd have all the sub-blogs available by the beginning of the month. ;D

I'd need to do some fiddling around. One converter box gets this but there's no place to sit and I have to remember to change back to the main channel for "Roy's Folks". The other converter box--no signal to speak of for the Super Bowl and I wasn't going to risk the channels I pick up perfectly. I still don't know their schedule or have time to watch. If I solved the signal problem, taping would be an option if I could ever remember to change the channel back. I'm not spending the money on a device that can record digital channels.

Overall a great addition to the broadcast lineup ;)

I did notice that 8.2 experimented with blue sidebars for widescreen viewers. Thankfully they were turned off - it was a better viewing experience on an analog 4:3 set when those bars were on.... black is best when you have 4:3 content.

Eventually more 16:9 content will come along...
