"Governor Pampers" ??? Dana Hersey Fall Off The Polo Pony Wagon?

C

Casablanca

Guest
Just heard Dana Hersey, the voice over minimum wage guy on WRKO, refer to Governor Deval Patrick as "Governor Pampers". What the heck did he mean by that? Has Dana enjoyed one too many trips over the bar again or fallen off his poloponies once too often.

All Hersey has to show for his years in broadcasting is to end up as a second rate voice over guy on a failing station. And Deval Patrick is where, Dana?

Think you owe Governor Deval Patrick an apology. NOW !

Why pick on Dana? Is it solely because there is a WRKO connection?
Have been on this site almost a year reading your darts and wonder just what are your credentials in radio?
ps Dana was awesome on "Ask the Manager" on WSBK TV38. Especially during the Joe Dimino era.

Yeah, an awesome failure.
And he still owes Governor Deval Patrick an apology

I would not ever consider Dana Hersey a failure.

He was the "face" of TV38 for many years, doing imaging, "The Movie Loft" the always entertaining "Ask The Manager" and some other projects. He was there many many years.

From his voice over bio...

Past or Present contracts with:
Bloomberg Financial Network
American Movie Classics
WBBR New York
WJR Detroit
WJZ Baltimore
WRKO Boston
KXNT Las Vegas
WSBK-TV Boston
WTIC Hartford
KTRS St. Louis
WNRE Pensacola
WTAE Pittsburg
Fox Tuscon
Fox Washington
WNNZ Springfield

If man is a failure in your opinion... then the value of your opinions and postings on this board have just become worthless in my book.

I would be shocked to learn that Dana writes that lame stuff. ::)

PS: Is it me, or didn't Dana look a lot like TV's Batman, Adam West?

Casablanca's the only failure here.

Oh, the bitterest pill.....it certainly describes Casa's obsession with anyone who has a paying job in radio and his daily diatribes on this site against those collecting a paycheck.

The "Key Word" about Dana Hersey is "WAS" !

Dan Hersey's remarks were far worse than those of Don Imus.
Perhaps, a call to the Governor's office, the NAACP, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are in order. Well, at least a call to The Boston Globe will follow.

Let Dana Hersey explain his "Governor Pampers" remarks to The Boston Globe and Emily Rooney's "Beat The Press.

Maybe Dana will be the one who needs Pampers when the Boston Globe get through with him

The issue is : Dana Hersey calling Governor Deval Patrick, "Governor Pampers".

Deval Patrick is a Milton Academy, Harvard College, Harvard Law School graduate. A self made man from the tenements of Chicago.
Unlike some people with just a "voice" he didn't make money the old fashioned way ... by marrying it.

And what is Dana Hersey's educational background?

I believe he has a Bachelors degree from Emerson, and he is or has been a small business owner outside the broadcast industry

Dana Hersey

I see this thread is quickly getting off the radio track and into politics

Governor Patrick has an impressive educational resume, but outside of working in government..... somewhere in the Clinton administration, and a short stint at Coca-Cola where he left with a golden parachute package that gave him a reported million dollars what has he done in the REAL world...a.k.a. "The Dreaded Private Sector"?

Ooops I forgot he was on the B.O.D. of one of the nations most notorious predatory mortgage lenders.

And as for the marrying for money, Coupe Deval didn't do too bad in that department did he... a partner at Ropes and Gray? That million dollar manse he is building in the western part of the state isn't being paid for with his Governors paycheck... that wouldn't pay the vig on the note, and he seems to be doing OK with his house in Milton too.

He has done real well for someone who has never done a hard days work.

Then we have Dana Hersey, just a funny guy trying to make a living in the cut throat world of radio voice over work after a successful 2 decade career at a major market TV station. If you had a choice of going out for a beer with Dana or Deval who would you want to toss a few back with?

Dana Hersey is working in the trade, which is more than I can say for some of our most prolific posters.

I think anyone who would refer to either Deval Patrick or Kerry Murphy Healey as incontinent and therefore in need of Pampers is one sick puppy. If Dan Hersey thought that remark was humorous it speaks more about him than those who react to it.

Had it been Gov. Kerry Murphy Healey described in that way, Casa would be just fine with that.
I'm offended that he's offended.
