Gow Media Adds Josh Innes to ESPN 97.5/Houston Lineup

Which would not qualify the decision a "smart" one, as you previously stated. He was bit by the radio bug, bought a substandard, high end of the dial facility from Don Werlinger, and spent way too much money on it trying to make a diamond out of a lump of coal. It's his money, and his concern, but please don't try to sell me a TV dinner by advertising it as fine cuisine.

David Gow has seen far more success than failure in the various different ventures he has been involved with in his lifetime, and I am sure that he has the bank roll to prove it. In solely my own opinion, which is worth the standard $0.02, the debacle of 1560 AM in Bellaire, Texas has not been one of the finer examples of the former, from start to finish.

but, hey.. at least i can here KGOW in Wyoming lol

Ha! Indeed you can. Well, if we are going to travel down the golden road of optimism this morning, it also served as a contributing factor to putting the long ailing KNGR out of business, so the positives are beginning to abound.

Look at you, SRG! Casting a ray of light in the vast darkness I was unintentionally creating. I owe you a round!

And for anyone wondering, KGOW being heard up here in Laramie is a pretty regular thing.. especially in fall and winter.

This is KGOW 1560 from Sept 26, 2019 at 1025pm mountain running VOA in Vietnamese

Isn't Dade Moore their engineer?

I believe Dade is their actual engineer here locally.

Consulting engineers are typically licensed electrical engineers who do things like design AM directional arrays or the on-channel booster that 97.5 has.

Gow has clearly spent a crazy amount of money with theirs, first to upgrade 1560, then to further upgrade it by building the separate nine tower nighttime site near Katy, the 97.5 booster, etc.

Given their anemic ratings, I don't see how they could possibly recoup their investments in these projects. Either that consulting engineer is an extraordinary salesman, or Gow doesn't at all mind burning cash on projects that will never deliver ROI.
