Time's Person of the Year isn't an endorsement of the person's beliefs or actions. It's not Time's intention to honor the person, just point out they were an influential person that year. Adolph Hitler was named in 1939, and Joseph Stalin got it twice. Ayatollah Khomeini even got it in 79 or 80.
Bernanke was a good choice. He was at the nexus of a lot of stuff in 09.
That being said, I like Charles and his schtick, and am pretty sure he knows what's what.
