After that huge Canadian/US opening 7/15 with almost 20 new ones, I got another really nice Es opening to TX/NM/NV/CA this morning/afternoon.

11:26AM - first signs of Es on 96.3 with Darius Rucker's "Come Back Song," and an unid 88.3 Christian Contemporary
11:30AM - 92.3 KIJN Farwell, TX; mention of Trinity Lutheran Church in Amarillo (repeats KJRT-88.3). Relog at 1246 miles.
11:32AM - 92.3 KRST Albuquerque, NM; ID "Nash FM 92.3" mixing with KIJN. Relog at 1076 miles.
11:32AM - 100.3 KPEK Albuquerque, NM; ad for Total Traffic, ID "100.3 The Peak". NEW #319, 22.5KW, 1076 miles.
11:34AM - 100.7 K264BA Portales, NM; ID "Family Life Radio." I have a clip attached to all the other IDs. NEW #320, 250 WATTS!! 1245 miles from my location. First translator logged via Es in 4 years - since K205CW 88.9 Follett, TX (KJIL) with 226w on 6/29/2010.
11:43AM - 92.3 KOMP Las Vegas, NV; ads for Disneyland resort and Vons, back into music with mention of a concert at House of Blues and "here's Pearl Jam on Komp 92.3." NEW #320, 25KW, 780 miles.
11:47AM - 94.9 KBIM-FM Roswell, NM; mention of "Bee and the Breakfast Club, weekday mornings" just BARELY over KIOK-Pasco. NEW #321, 100KW, 1243 miles.
11:51AM - 94.1 KZRR Albuquerque, NM; ad for "Cottonwood Kia" in Albuquerque. NEW #322, 22.5KW at 1076 miles.
11:58AM - 88.9 with Ask Me Another from NPR, matches to KNPR Las Vegas. Relog at around 775 miles. Heard at least 3 times this season so far.
fadeout after UNID 92.3 Mexican station, definitely Es and not K222BP Prosser which also has SS programming on Sundays, then...
12:12PM - 88.3 KSDS San Diego, CA; ID "Jazz 88.3" over the splatter of KYVT/KYTR. NEW #323, 22KW, 976 miles.
12:13PM - 97.3 KSON San Diego, CA; mention of "San Diego Ford Dealers" in Ford commercial. NEW #324, 50KW, 976 miles. Always great to catch San Diego's in Yakima as I have no local Seattle stations on top of them now!
12:15PM - 93.3 KHTS El Cajon, CA; ID "Channel 9-3-3," into "Rude" by Magic. NEW #325, 50KW at 972 miles.
12:17PM - 94.1 KMYI San Diego, CA; strong with ad for Fletcher Jones Motor Company in Newport Beach, ID "now, back to Star music." NEW #326, 77KW, 976 miles. MUF was 98.9, likely XHMORE Tijuana, and may have hit 100.7 briefly as well (KFMB?)
12:21PM - 92.3 KHHT Los Angeles, CA; mention of OC fair and "Old School Sundays." NEW #327, 42KW, 864 miles (transmitter on Mt. Wilson). Surprisingly, no other Los Angeles stations noted. Did have swapping of at least 2 or 3 on 88.9 however from somewhere - SS tropical music and religious preaching (relog KTLW?)

Skip came back this evening with 2 more new ones! EXTREMELY spotty Es with an MUF of 106.1.

6:39PM - first signs of Es with unid 88.9 w/ Chicago's "Feeling Stronger Every Day."
6:55PM - unid 106.1, thought it was KZFN with American top 40 hits, but heard SS with the generic "mas musica!" liners. There is a station in Northern Sonora that might be the one I heard, but I didn't record it, thinking it was just KZFN!
6:57PM - unid 94.1, Spanish music in horrible quality, sounding like either a 16kbps internet stream, or over the telephone! Prob something in Sonora.
6:59PM - 88.9 KAWC Yuma, AZ; end of "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" with Peter Sagal/Bill Kurtis, on location from San Francisco. Followed by mention of "Arizona Western College," which owns KAWC. NEW #329, 2.4KW at 1011 miles.
7:03PM - 97.7 KQVO Calexico, CA; NPR news and into "Animal House" from 88.5 WAMU; matches KPBS schedule. NEW #330, 6KW at 998 miles.
7:05PM - 100.1 unid religion, probably the one near Calexico as well but did not get an ID off of this one.
