I wonder if sometime soon there will ever be a radio format where the songs you
are reminicing about in addition to all those other "forgotten" favorites will come
together on one station?, It can be done!
What i would do is not repeat the same song in a 24-hour period, this would be
a radio listeners dream without any "corporate" control!

Yes it sure can!! I'd call it "True Classic Top 40". Some say that it would sound like a train wreck, but it was done 30 years ago and it didn't sound like a train wreck then so why can't it be done now? They didn't have the technology back then we have now (databases of all kinds of song data at your beckon call and programs like Selector) so it would make it very easy to do now. Not to mention everything is on the computer so you wouldn't have to try and find a song in the record rack just a few keystrokes and there ya go. I miss the days when the next song was a mystery when listening to the radio. Today you can practically tell what time of day it is by what's on and that's sad :( .

Damn Double J you is so smart!!! You ought to be a music director for a radio station. Do you know any stations that could use your musical genius?????

Allen

I'm not sure which is more disturbing, the songs you guys are digging up, or the fact that I have many of them in my collection.

Yes, I ought to be a music director at a station somewhere. I'd love that challenge. I could think of a few - like one - the one I'm working at now.
