Great to hear real country variety in Rhode Island for a change

Cat Country who? Thank you WKLB for moving to 102.5 and bringing real country variety to most of Rhode Island. I heard the Sunday Morning Country Oldies show this morning and it was music to my ears. Also, listening this afternoon they were playing a great mix of country from the 80's to today. It's now a preset on my car radio.

It's good to have a second country station booming in loud & clear & I like the Sunday classic country show on WKLB, but other than that I really don't see any difference in the music programming. I don't think WKLB will make any appreciable dent in WCTK's listenership & more importantly, the stations are not competing for sales dollars. But now that WKLB is here, The Pike is gone as a preset. Today there was no Nascar on WCTK, but when there is, it'll be good to have WKLB.

I have no idea who is even on WKLB but one thing missing here is comparison of the staffs. Not that it will matter to Cat Country's listeners but KLB is a major market station while Cat Country with the exception of Robby Bridges can sound like amateur hour.I don't think this will enter the picture anyway but with a new PD at Cat Country who has programmed in bigger markets I can't believe he isn't planning some post-holiday staff changes especially mornings.
