Greater Media buying 1210 AM, any chance of that happening?

do you think that it might happen, if CBS likes the price GM offers? If that does happen, you know that GM will put ESPN radio on 1210 and 97.5 will go local 24/7

I would say no, if they were interested in having an AM for ESPN in Philadelphia, they would not have sold 950 AM.

why do you insist on making the same posts over and over about 1210am you are not in the demographic of WPHT so it should be no concern to you what you need to do is go out and have some fun it might help a little bit

FYI I'm 31.

Julius, when you are 31 all over again, you will be getting close to 1210's demographic. Unfortunately, 1210 and AM radio - probably FM and satellite radio - won't be around for your second 31st birthday.

I once loved old, original WCAU. 1210 is not WCAU. Just like there's still a store in the building at 13th and Market but it's not Wanamaker's. Even if they had kept the call letters, it wouldn't be WCAU. There's still something that calls itself the Inquirer but it's certainly not the Inquirer I once loved and admired.

Much more likely CBS would sell a station to someone it expects to air political talk than to someone it expects to air sports.

Why did GM sell 950? Wouldn't one have expected the mouse to put pressure on them to carry ESPN24/7 on the AM while they had local on the FM? They could have even put Mike & Mike on AM and local on FM. Or is GM protecting Preston & Steve and John DeBella by just having Mike & Mike on FM?
