The "77 WABC jingle" at the top of every hour in the 60s.
Also, KRLA "Serving Southern California from Pasadena KRLA"

KGO-FM late 60's. Went something like:

F-MMMM.....one-oh-three-point-seven.....KGO....Steeeereooooooo....San Franciscooooooo!

Of course CKLW with its very own top of hour ID Drake tymp

WKNR AM FM Dearborn, Offices in the Sheraton Cadillac, Detroit

WGTZ, Eaton-Dayton and Springfield Alive!

Speaking of KGO, their AM had a pretty nice ID in the early 60s.

Far and away, WCFL Chicago 1975. Two-parter, jock talked over part one, always w/outcue "the Voice Of Labor". Then part two was the actual station ID. Big Apple Airchecks has a great example of the ID with Big Ron O'Brien.
None better!

WIBC 1070 Indianapolis top of the hour. I'm old, so I could be wrong.

A dramatic "Radio Indiana", followed by "WIBC" in song.

Very impressive.

My Favorite was the KBIG Los Angeles from a few Years ago

CHIMES "its Eleven O Clock in the west at Southern California's BIG FM _ KBIG Los Angeles"

Jhani Kaye is the one of the Greatest PD/Jingle producers on the planet he knows how to "Make em Sing"

to be honest any TOH that is sung from Los Angeles or San Francisco just sounds Cool !!

(TomTyler) "Rockin' in the cradle of Liberty" ... (Pams singers) "W-F-I-L ... Phil-a-del-phi-aaaaaaaaa.

"W-M-I-D, Atlantic City ... A Merv Griffin Station"

"W-C-B-S Fm ... New York, New York."

(Bill Drake) "And the Hits Just Keep ON Comin' (Johnny Mann Singers) C-K-L-W ... The Motor City. (and every other great RKO Station)

"W-B-Z Boston ... Group W ... a Westinghouse Broadcasting Station ... in AM Stereo. (TM Singers,) W-B-Z ... Boston."

(TM Singers) " Double You OH .... Double You OHHHHH, Fort Wayne"

(TM Singers) "Ten Twenty ... K-D-K-A Pittsburgh."

"Topside-on-Riverside, this is WBML.....where you turn it on, and leave it on, 24 hours a day"

WBML Radio, 1240. Macon, Georgia. They moved in to studios overlooking downtown Macon's Riverside Drive in the 60's, and were the only 24 hour station in the market for years. Their motto was "Nail it down on 1240" and even had a "Nail It Down Club" on Saturday night, with membership cards (I was, and still am, #1088) and gold-colored lapel pins made from a carpet tack.

I think WBBM "NewsRadio 78" back in the day had some pretty awesome legal ID singouts into the TOH news.
But these days, there are also some pretty good IDs. WNCI/Columbus used to have a great ID on the air that was a clubby/dance-mix type of jingle. The vocals at the end would say "Col-UM-BUS! US! US!"... pretty awesome. The legal IDs from WGH-FM in Norfolk were also great. "The number one country station in the state of Virginia. WGH-FM (cities of license) and all of Hampton Roads. (then the singout) 97-3 the Eagle... The Eeeeeaglllllle!" Let's not forget those beautiful legal IDs WLW-AM in Cincinnati used to have. "The PASSION that reflects our region... THIS... is continuing in-depth team coverage from the Tri-State's news, weather and traffic station. News Radio 700 W--L--W/Cincinnati...". The old TM Century "WMIL/Milwaukee" jingles "WMIL... FM 106.1... Waukesha/Milwaukeeeeee" were incredible! KASE/Austin is still using them. KVET/Austin is also a super singout "98-point-1... K-V-E-T... Auuuuuustinnnnnnn!".

WDAF, Kansas City, throughout most of their 61 Country Days. They used "61 Country" exclusively, never the calls, except during newscasts, when they were exclusively WDAF and never 61 Country. Local news began five minutes before the top of the hour and ended with the newscaster identifying himself or herself and concluding with "W-D-A-F." Jock immediately came in over an intro with "Kansas City is Sixty-One-Country..." and continued with a brief promo, time check, jock and music ID.

Although the original was in Spanish, it translates perfectly...

"X-E-W. The Voice of Latin America from Mexico." This was used from the 30's well into the 90's on 250,000 watt XEW, 900 AM, Mexico City, Mexico.

My area has many good top hour jingles. My favorites: WXLY's TOH ID during the early 2000's, from the "Do It Again" package. A very memorable ID, made you want to listen to the station. From Tophour: http://www.tophour.com/audio/Charleston SC/fm1025_2001-12_wxly_ttatman.mp3

The jingle Sunny 105.9 and all the Infinity oldies stations use now. Very majestic, you know what station you're listening to.

The jingle the old Sunny 96.9 used in Charleston for several years. I don't remember the jingle package, but had lots of melody, from one of those boring ReelWorld packages, but good. From Jinglenews: http://www.jinglenews.com/audio/jingles/wsuy_2.mp3

I used to hear XEW well in the Chicago area even with WLS next door.
