Every year, for the two weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year's, Game Show Network runs an hour of classic game shows just before the infomercials begin. This year, it's "What's My Line?" at 3 a.m. ET and "I've Got A Secret" at 3:30. It begins Tuesday morning Dec. 20th.
In years past, GSN ran classic black-and-white game shows in that 3 a.m. hour during the holidays. If you go back before the 2000s, GSN ran classic black-and-white game shows every late night. But now it looks like they don't want to go back to original black-and-white years, even for these two weeks. So I think it will be later versions of What's My Line? and I've Got A Secret, during the early color era.
Luckily many of those black-and-white shows are available on You Tube. So this annual event is not showing us anything that's too rare. But it's still fun to see these shows on regular cable television.
