Guetzloe smears politician, Sentinel laughs at Guetzloe's ratings

According to the Sentinel, Doug Guetzloe apparently accused a local politician of trolling for young boys on his radio show:

The Sentinel also ran a column in which it was mentioned that Guetzloe's station
is below the Arbitron cut-off:

So now everyone can remember how to pronounce his name....

Gets-low, as in "Gets Low Ratings", "Gets Low Recognition", "Gets Low Audience", "Gets Low in the Gutter", etc.

This is also an indirect slap at the ownership of WAMT, Genesis. Wonder how Bill O' Reilly and Dr. Laura feel about being on an unrated station in O-Town.

I think they're used to it.

But maybe if Genesis' Florida talkers realized that you don't have to run every talk show from Fox just to call yourself "Your Fox News Station". Kill Snow, move Ingraham to midmornings, put your local talker against Rush and move O'Reilly to 2-4. Just my Extreme Radio Makeover recommendation for the day.

IMHO there are two reasons why WAMT has no ratings. One is I've seen only one billboard advertising the station. You will not get ratings that way. They are practicly a stand alone AM, and they need to promote the station whatever way they can, especially with the format they have. The other one is, WAMT is a daytimer. What good is a news/talk station that signs off (or at least is supposed to sign off) when the sun goes down?
