HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! ("24 Hours Of Christmas").......

Well, it's Christmas Eve 2009 in Atlanta. Just scanning the dial, here. WOW! Not a lot of continuous-christmas music found on the dial this year.
Besides the obvious (B-98.5)....only Q100, daveFM, TRUE-OLDIES and THE FISH are doing "24 Hours Of Christmas".
AND, no yule-tidings on Star this year, either, huh? Oh well.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

WSB-AM 750 is also playing Christmas music for 39 hours, using the same Kris Eric Stevens program they use every year. One wonders why they can't simulcast the sister FM station that has been playing Christmas music for 30 days straight. Don't know what WGST or the other AMs are doing.

As for Star 94...I suspect the recent changes in programming (and obvious forthcoming format flip to Hot AC) have to do with it. I suspect they didn't have the time or want to bother with loading Christmas music in the automation system given everything going on. I suspect they still will give everyone the day off though. I am wondering when the official flip will occur.

WSB AM 750 Sounds so neat playing music. I remember when it played music. Sounds neat and warm unllike all the talk. Really enjoyed hearing it last night on the way to family's get together. Hope all has a warm and safe holiday!!

Big Crosby and the Andrews Sisters do sound really magical on AM radio - brings back happy memories of Christmas' years past.
Happy Holidays to all - I hope everyone has a terrific 2010......

I am so glad someone else thinks that music on AM sounds cool too. :) I listen to "The Magic of Christmas" every year for that same reason. When "New Years Day" by U2 comes on, it kinda gives me a chill...something about the, as you said, warmth of the sound.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all!

On Christmas Day, WABC in New York carried a syndicated special hosted by the guy who runs Mannheim Steamroller, and featured plenty of holiday songs. Anyone in Atlanta clear this if WSB stuck with their own playlist?
