Hi everyone! I know a majority of folks on this forum call iHeartMedia Atlanta home of the building of death. Has Cumulus Atlanta become of the new "north" building of death at Pill Hill? I'm asking because I was listening to a portion of the Steve & Cheryl Morning Show on NewsRadio 106.7 earlier this morning, and Cheryl White, even though she's a co-host of the morning show, she was doing the traffic. I know she has experience doing the traffic. There's no problem with that. But it's become obvious that Greg Talmadge has been let go. They must really have it alot worse than WGST & company if they're having to let traffic reporters go. Art "Mad Man" Mehring is still at WGST & company. I'm sure alot of people on this forum like myself have grown up listening to Greg Talmadge, especially when he was on at KICKS 101.5, and much before that during the "Picciano" era at the then-existing Peach 94.9. Come on, people. My Godparents know him. In other stuff related to NewsRadio 106.7, the Saturday show "The Good Works Show" has been rumored to have been replaced with the syndicated "Doc Talk". At least, that's what the program schedule page at http://www.newsradio1067.com/full-schedule/ has been saying. That page has been well known for not being accurate with the program schedule. The show comes on Saturdays at 12PM (12 Noon) for an hour. "The Good Works Show", IMO, has become the best jobs-related radio show the Atlanta market has ever had since WGST used to have the show "Job Talk" with Margot King back in the day. I'll be listening this weekend to see if "The Good Works Show" still exists. Whether it still exists or no longer exists anymore, I'll let you guys on the forum know in this thread. None of this would be happening if we didn't have that stupid terror attack in Chattanooga, TN a few weeks ago. Ever since that attack, I've been busy watching FNC (FOX News Channel). Therefore, they've been stealing the ratings. What a bummer. I would contact NewsRadio 106.7, but unfortunately, Greg Tantum won't reply back to my email messages anymore. Anyway, that is all.
