Hawaiian music stations on the Us Mainland and other countries

It seems KAPU is silent with the required STA. An attempt to transfer the station to another entity was dismissed. I hate to say this but I suspect KAPU needing a new tower site and an attempted transfer being turned down, the station will likely not return. KAPU had a long run, since 2003 I think. Their license was even contested because they played Hawaiian music versus a format that would appeal to a larger group. After about 18 years, the operators might be ready for a rest.

KLUC in Las Vegas had "Da Shaka" on its HD2, carrying Hawaiian "island music" and reggae. (I'm told it's gone now, but glad I airchecked it a couple of times on recent visits.)

Back in the early 1980s, when I was stationed in Honolulu, KCCN-1420 was a local station that was totally Hawaiian music....They are now KCCN FM 100.3 playing CHR.
1420 is now KKEA "ESPN Honolulu" along with sister KKEA FM 92.7.
