"HD an annoyance to some GMs and owners, just like FM was."

"While turning the channels over to independent programmers would make a nice press release, it wouldn't make a difference."

Depends. Some niches are worth occupying. But feel free to ignore it and wonder why radio is increasingly less interesting to the next generation.

I have no reason to believe playing unknown songs by no-name artists in an attempt to be cooler than the room will change the minds of the next generation. Unless your station is on a device they own, it won't matter what brilliant programming you have. It's a tree falling in an empty forest.

Absolutely....the other day 600K iPhone 4s were sold by Apple/AT&T before their sites finally just gave up and crashed.

Have 600K HD radios ever been sold?

Unless you're in their pocket...they can't listen.

I've always said: HD would be better off inviting people to drive over to the transmitter site and c'mon inside and listen. More people would hear HD that way.

And guitar bands are on their way out.

Hey! That's disrespectful to 16mm films. :D

Sorry, I was referring to 16 mm film without Piclear - the scratch-masking fluid which is probably "unobtainium" today.

Baby oil on lint free cloth! There was also a product sold in camera stores for use in printing photos...can't remember the name, but
also recommended to photogs was....um...er....oil from facial skin.....uhhh, sorry to be indelicate ..nose oil.

That was Edwal's No Scratch. Back in my early working life, I did custom photo printing for a lab in Hollywood and we always had a supply of it. Of course, nose grease will work too.
