I saw no reference to whether addition of these converters will affect regular radio reception.
I do remember that when people used FM converters in cars, they did not maintain feedline impedance through the devices, and the additional stray capacitance was often too much to permit proper antenna trimmer adjustment, so the AM was always less sensitive after the addition of a converter.. No worry, I'm sure the RF design will be much better this time.
Will these work by converting to the ORIGINAL incoming frequency, or to a single down-convert frequency which must be used when receiving the HD. I bet not many consumers today will understand tuning using a converter.
I would assume they are making provision for both analog and digital tuning compatibility, but we'll see.
