HELP WANTED: H.S. Football Play-By-Play Anncrs

WTKT-AM (1460 The Ticket) seeks football play-by-play announcers and color commentators for the coming Cumberland Valley High School and Bishop McDevitt High School football seasons. We're not expecting Madden and Summerall, but we're hoping for applicants with some experience under their belt. Barring that, we're hoping for applicants with a great level of desire, enthusiasm, and ability to be a team player. This could be a chance to carve a foothold in the world of sports radio, or an opportunity to satisfy your radio jones if you've left the biz for whatever reason.

Please contact Rob Wilber ... [email protected]

Thank you, one and all.

I'm sure that there is still a few old football coaches around that could handle the job for you.

Your best bet is to find people out of those school districts that are familiar with the players names and families.

Football is usually a family sport, where the first names change, but the last names don't!

Ask the school principals and the sports director of the schools for suggestions.

Please BeatlesFan, do not offer your services.....if your typing grammar is anything like your spoken grammar, it would be horrible radio.

It should be "there still are a few coaches" and "people....who are familiar".

Will there be any training or direction given to these broadcasters in some basics of play by play coverage?
